Abstract:

The article deals with the character and peculiarities of the colonization of the North Caucasus territory, and their influence on the socio-cultural features of the region. The dependence of the settlers economic occupations and the formed social structure is shown; the prerequisites for the formation of specific socio-economic and cultural ties of the population are determined.
