Abstract:

Nikolay Vasilyevich Yelagin is a spiritual writer, the censor, the historian and the publisher of the 19th century. One of its publications — «Belevsky Vivliofika» (1858) — the collection of documents on history of the Belevsky County of the Tula province. Article is devoted to the analysis of information opportunities «Descriptions of the city of Beleva and the Belevsky County...», the collection which entered the second volume. The basis of this publication of N.V. Yelagin was formed by Economic notes of the Belevsky county. The author of article considers features social and economic development of noble farms in the second half of the 18th century. In the county small and average noble land tenure prevailed. An economic basis of noble economy was agriculture. Business of the nobility consisted in the maintenance of mills. Conditions and way of life of the belyovsky nobility it was traditional for the central provinces of Russia.
