Abstract:

Strengthening of positions of Russia in the European energy markets coincided with appearance in Central and Western Europe of new generation of the politicians and corporate managers who are guided by protection of national interests as opposed to the Euro-Atlantic project. Prospects of the national project both in Russia, and in Europe are directly connected with ability and a possibility of use of historical knowledge to economic researches of practical orientation. Methods and results of historical researches: historical analogies, empirical comparisons, the analysis of archival documents, etc., are a subject of a particular interest for experts in such areas as institutional economy, the international economic relations, strategic forecasting and strategic management.
