Abstract:

The article deals with the biography of Leo Tolstoy’s grandson Vladimir Tolstoy (1899—1967). The author analyses in greater detail how Tolstoy’s descendant lived in Russia and abroad. Vladimir Tolstoy expressed his civil position in the years of The Second World War, when he was supporting the resistance movement in Serbia. Upon returning to Russia he stayed true to the ideals of his ancestor and was closely related to the work of Leo Tolstoy Museums at Yasnaya Polyana and in Moscow.
