Abstract:

The article attempts to classify the belt set of the early medieval Tokharistan (VI—VIII centuries) including plaques, buckles and tips on the belt and also focuses on their sacred component. The work is based on the typological method of analysis of archaeological finds. The author comes to the conclusion about the continuity of the traditions of the early middle ages with the preceding Kushan-Sassanid period.
