Abstract:

This study is devoted to the representation of the image of the Commonwealth in the polish political treatises 16-17th centuries, which are presented in the book series «Biblioteka Polska» (1855—1863). The pamphlets of A. F. Modrzewski, P. Skarga and Sz. Starowolski are analyzed with attraction the historical-hermeneutical method.
