Abstract:

The article aimed to research of the composition, service, socio-cultural characteristics and activities of the nobility of the Tula region, which was in the civil service from the second half of the XIX century to the beginning of the XX century. The prosopographic analysis based on the selected criteria (gender status, conditions of joining the service, level of education, length of service, personal characteristics) shows an average portrait of an official nobleman.
