Abstract:

The article examines issues related to the historical, philosophical and moral component of the study of the process of cognition in the framework of the philosophy of positivism of the outstanding figure of Russian populism P.L. Lavrov. The essence and specificity of the methodology, the role of faith in this process, the moral constituent of the beginning of knowledge, its influence on objectivity and reliability are revealed. The historical path of development of certain aspects of the theory of knowledge in the context of ethical views is shown
