Abstract:

This article is dedicated to the research of the exhibition project of the Tretyakov Gallery "Vasily Vereshchagin"(2018). The starting point for the search was the exhibition catalog,which presented modern artist’s biography research. This article reflects the exposure preparation process. Special attention is paid to the military history part: the Turkestan and Balkan Vereshchagin’s series. Tretyakov Gallery’s project is considered as an example of combining art and military-historical expositions
