Abstract:

The article deals with a little-studied historical source of the late XIX beginning. XX centuries.: Monthly scientific and literary magazine «Sea and Its Life» (St. Petersburg. 1901 to 1917). These materials are of particular value in the study of Russian maritime affairs, education and training. The magazine also covers other aspects of social life associated with the merchant marine and naval commanders. In particular, this article provides a brief overview of the topics covered in the source.
