Abstract:

The article analyzes the description of the Battle of Kulikovo in 1380 in the most popular textbooks for the lower levels of educational institutions of the Russian Empire. It allows us to conclude what kind of image of this event was widespread among graduates of public schools and gymnasiums at the end of the 19th century - early XX centuries.
