Abstract:

Reconstruction of socio-cultural prerequisites for the transformation of the social structure by the beginning of the 20th century within Russia is studied through the prism of identity / ethnicity. The practice of integrating activities of the Kazakh national intelligentsia, united in the editorial office of the newspaper, is analyzed. The materials for the study of this issue were archival sources and the texts of newspaper issues for 1915 translated from the Arabic script into the Cyrillic alphabet. The analysis showed that one of the tactical lines of the Alash party was the monitoring of students studying outside of Kazakh territory. The details of the involvement of Muslim graduates of a few Russian universities and their fate in the Soviet era are considered.
