Abstract:

This research of one of the many particular cases of the 18th century Russian court fashion conducted on the materials of the documents of property and economic character. The result makes it possible to include property inventories and dowry inventories of the Russian nobility and their inner circle, noblewomen and townswomen, into the range of relevant, but still little-studied sources on the history of costume and fashion, fur fashion, as well as on the history of luxury.
