Abstract:

This article is devoted to the study of the historical features of the reflection of the mental complex of the Persians in the text of the Elder Avesta. In the course of the research, we analyze a fragment from the Avesta, which reveals the meaning of the names of Ahura Mazda. Within the framework of the diachronic approach, we study the primary and secondary semantics of the names of the deity in relation to the historical retrospective. The main source is the First Gatha of Zarathushtra. The main historical sources are the data of archaeographic and semiotic research.
