Abstract:

This article is devoted to the study of the cultural characteristics of the Nekrasov Cossacks on the example of a community that lived near Lake Mainos. The main reference material and source is the chronicle of the Cossack Vasily Petrovich Sanichev. The collected statistical data allow us to give a historical and cultural assessment of the Nekrasovites of the Mainos community. In the course of the main part of the study, we study the specifics and factors of cultural integration of the Cossack groups, their resettlement in Stavropol at the end of the 20th century, as well as the historical past and historical memory of the Nekrasov Cossacks. Special historical methods serve as the main methods, sociological and cultural methods as auxiliary ones.
