Abstract:

The article presents a review of Tula local history experts works, which were mostly written in 1990s and dedicated to the development of public education in Tula region of XVIII—XX centuries. The works by V.I. Krutikov, S.S. Okhendushko, S. Rassadnev, V.V. Kulikov, T.I. Meleshko, A.I. Shilin and others are mentioned here. The publications of these authors discusses the general history of public education in Tula region, as well as the chapters of the history of certain schools and the activities of the Tula teachers and patrons. The articles published in the newspapers and magazines and the materials of the XV regional conference «The history chapters of national education of Tula region» were used as the sources.
