Abstract:

The article deals with the works of one of the editors of «Tula Diocesan Gazette» A.N. Ivanov. At the end of XIX century A. N. Ivanov was Archpriest, Rector of the Tula Cathedral, Teacher of the Tula Theological Seminary, Member of the Provincial school Council, Chairman of the Diocesan school Council, etc. His articles are devoted to the issues of education of the younger generation, family and school education, the peculiarities of Christian education and teaching the Law of God. Attention is drawn to the importance of interpretation of A.N. Ivanov tasks, methods and means of education. In turn, the relevance of the work is due to the possibility of introducing thematically significant, but previously almost not studied materials of the «Tula Diocesan Gazette» into an expanded research turnover.
